This year\u2019s conference takes place at the Estonian Film Museum in Tallinn, Estonia, and be attended by representatives from across Europe\u2019s audiovisual archives.<\/p>\n<p>With a packed programme, topics under discussion include: structured data, IIIF for time-based media, promotion and accessibility of audiovisual collections, implementation of FADGI guidelines, and copyright concerns.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Filip \u0160ir<\/strong> and <strong>Anthony Allen<\/strong> from the team will present New Phonograph on the afternoon of November 7th, inviting discussion as to the future of digitisation projects, and touching upon new avenues of research which will be addressed during the course of the 5-year project, funded by the Czech Ministry of Culture. Colleagues <strong>Iva Horov\u00e1<\/strong> and <strong>Iva Malinov\u00e1<\/strong> from the <strong>National Technical Library of the Czech Republic<\/strong> will also attend the conference, presenting on the afternoon of November 8th. Their presentation will cover the <strong>Virtual National Phonoteque<\/strong>, a new initiative to create a unified discography of all Czech recordings and accompanying information about them.<\/p>\n<p>With over 20 presentations taking place across two days, this year\u2019s BAAC annual conference will cover a wide variety of aspects of audiovisual archiving, while professional visits will grant attendees the chance to go behind the scenes at some of Estonia\u2019s key audiovisual sites.
