Zuzana Kvašová is involved in the issue of long-term storage of digital documents in the National Library of the Czech Republic, where she has worked for six years. She graduated from Information Sciences and Librarian Studies at the Faculty of Philosophy of Charles University. She has first encountered the issue of digital documents during her studies at the City Library in Prague in the Digitization Section, where she had the opportunity to become acquainted with the processing and protection of endangered and rare books by converting them into digital form and making them available to digital library users. She also worked on the HISPRA project (HISTORICAL PRAGENIA). After completing her studies abroad in 2011, she returned to this institution and focused on broadening her knowledge of electronic books published by the City Library and also had the opportunity to manage a project focused on the digitization of physical catalogs. In 2012, she joined the National Library, where she dealt with the issue of the long-term preservation of digital documents. First in the LTP repository, which manages the long-term archiving system for digital documents, later as Director of the Digital Funds Division, which deals with the concept, standardization and accessibility of digital documents, and also manages the Czech Web archive. Zuzana participates in science and research projects, especially in the field of long-term archiving of digital documents (digitized printed monographs and periodicals, audio documents and electronic documents).
