Bio

Vít Holeček studied archival, librarian and environmental science. He gained work experience as a digitizer in the National Archives and in the Library of the City of Hradec Králové, where he digitized the gramophone music library of the library. Currently he is studying on a doctoral study program of History of Technology at the Czech Technical University in Prague. Vít deals mainly with specialized institutions and associations operating on the Czech territory from the second half of the 19th century until the first half of the 20th century. In 2017, he graduated from the University of Toronto at the Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology. His achievements in grants include work on the Centers of Information: World of Informatics and Electrotechnics – the Computer World in the Czech Republic (Project of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, 2018-2022) and the current project Technical Profession: Engineers and Czech Society (between the scientific environment, business activities) in the years 1881-1945. Vít Holeček is also the author of web pages about the historical development and life of the inhabitants of Hradec Králové-Věkoš.
