Bio

Michal Lorenz is deputy head of the Department of Information and Library Studies at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University. He teaches subjects focusing particularly on information science, dealing with information practices, annotation behavior, infrastructure studies, digital humanities and information ethics. He also participated in the ERNIE project: Platform for Research and Learning Collaboration in the Information Professionals Network (2012-2015), DALAB: Design Thinking Action Lab 2016: Openness, Responsibility, Initiative (2016), DISRI: Design Thinking Action Lab 2017: applied design (2017). Currently (2018), he is a researcher on the Analysis of Requirements of Users of Research Infrastructures of the Faculty of Arts of the Masaryk University and subsequently of the Digital Research Infrastructure for Arts and Humanities – DARIAH. In cooperation with the New Beseda publishing house and the Palacký University in Olomouc, he participates in the solution of the project Interactive Expert Books – redefinition of electronic publishing in the field of non-fiction. His contribution to the New Phonograph project includes research and teaching.
